What an excellent story teller! Well written, suspenseful, fast moving with a sizzling romance thown in! Highly recommend it and a great book for your summer vacation!
This is a very easy to read novel. If you are from, or know, the Austin area, you will feel like you are in the story! This novel will take you on 2 getaways to Mexico. You will find yourself suspended in this mysterious story while you watch a romance finally start to bloom, and then you worry that the outcome will not be "a happy ending". I enjoyed this novel very much! I cannot wait for the second novel from Shaunna Scallon.
This was a really great, easy to read book. I appreciated the fact that it had a very positive view of law enforcement, especially towards the Austin Police Department. I felt that it handled both the romance and the suspense aspect with a deft, tight hand. It was really fun to read about the history of Austin and had some interesting tidbits about the city's past. The love story was sweet, sincere and heartfelt. I loved the twists and turns and especially the happy ending. Can't wait for her next one.
